Backed by Years in the Field.
Focused on What’s Next.
Eastern Colorado is our home, and we’re here to protect its water, support its farmers, and power its future with smarter irrigation.

About Us
Savage Irrigation is a Valley dealer proudly based in Wiley, Colorado. Our team specializes in flood-to-mechanized irrigation conversions, system design, pivot installation, telemetry, and all-makes sprinkler repair. But what really sets us apart is how we show up: fast, honest, and all-in during every narrow water window.
We’ve got deep roots in Eastern Colorado, both in agriculture and in community service. Our team includes veterans of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and Colorado National Guard. We’ve been coaches, school board members, church volunteers, and neighbors you can count on.
In addition to selling and servicing systems, we’ve also run them ourselves for years. That hands-on experience means we design smarter, repair faster, and always aim for long-term performance. We believe in keeping water local, building relationships face-to-face, and standing by the land and people we serve.

Our Story
Savage Irrigation traces its roots back to the H Manning Company of Lamar, Colorado. Founded by Larry Manning, the business became a Valley dealer in 1997 with a strong focus on NRCS EQIP-funded conversions from flood irrigation to mechanized systems.
Larry hired Jay Gaines in 2008 and Tandy Bitner in 2012—two team members who would eventually carry the torch. In 2022, after a series of ownership transitions, Jay, Tandy, and Chad Krentz purchased the company and relocated operations to Wiley.
Since then, we’ve expanded our crew, sharpened our services, and stayed committed to the same mission: deliver top-quality irrigation systems and protect the long-term future of Colorado ag. One thing that hasn’t changed—and never will—is our stance on water. We believe in keeping agriculture water in agriculture. It might pay in the short term, but it costs too much in the long run.
Savage Irrigation is committed to community, conservation, and keeping ag strong in the place we call home.
